THANK YOU PAULA! When I was in grade school all the kids left the classroom for music, when we came back into the room there were plates of green DYED scrambled eggs, slices of FRIED ham & jugs of OPENED milk which where ALSO dyed green. There was green glitter in trails leading from our desks to an open window (left by a pack of WILD leprechauns while they were leaving this St. Patrick's mid-day snack! I believe that people can put w.e. they want to put in their SCRAMBLED eggs.. you know the one things that you can LITERALLY mix ANYTHING into & make it whatever color they want it to be, don't expect EVERYONE to get creative for you! If you people want to throw a hissy fit about 2-3 drops of food coloring, go to one of the other recipes that have some kale or spinach or w.e. I WANT MY EGGS TO TASTE LIKE PLAIN OLD SCRAMBLED EGGS, Not ala-green-egg-gardene. FYI : food coloring=~10 cals. per 2 gal., spinach (cooked=~10.3 cals. per CUP... Go add your greens to THAT you big city cows !

Paula rocks! Admittedly, I've, always, wanted green eggs and ham, ever since I, first, read the story by Dr. Seuss (aka... Theodor Geisel, God rest his soul. My name is NOT Sam and, I, do, like green eggs and ham. :

I've been looking for a different way to make green eggs n ham for St Patrick's day for the kids and never thought of cookie cutters! I think shamrock shaped bread cuts with a little green food color in the butter will be a great idea for the kids! I love Paula and I don't care about the bad reviews cause if you don't like the way she cooks don't watch her show!
    Faithful fan Elisa

Grandkids loved doing this the first time and even asked for more and one of them is a teen! Gimme a break with the criticisms! But then look where they came from - yall need to give it a rest.

My kids loved this recipe. It had inspired me to be creative with breakfest. We now have eggs mixed with pesto for the green effect. We also go to the garden in the morning and get fresh parsley and cut up for and mix in the eggs for the green effect. We also have had red eggs, with peppers or tomatoes. Breakfest with the kids has bee more interactive. The kids love it now because they have a say in what they are eating.

    I really enjoyed this episode!
I am going to have some fun with my kids making this!

For all the critics Paula has never been known for her healthy cooking! She says all the time I'm not your doctor I'm your cook!! You don't have to write bad reviews just make it the way you would like it! You may even add fresh parsley for the green color! I was a little sad that everyone is so hard on her!! Just a drop of food color in your eggs is not that serious!!

I hope you all enjoy your Green Eggs and Ham, however you make them!
Paula thanks for the great cooking ideas you share with us!!

I don't think we're talking about an every day thing here. It's a special occasion sort of thing, and exactly the way I used to do this when I was a kid. Food coloring, while being artificial, is in such scarcity in this recipe that I really don't think any harm can come from it and if you don't want to use it, don't! There's no reason to say mean things about someone just because you don't agree with the way they do things. Self-righteousness is an ugly color on anyone.
