Easy and tasty. Made the recipe 2 different times just make sure you really grind up the walnuts and oats as fine as possible.

I really screwed these up by not reading the directions carefully. Make sure to measure your ground oats and walnuts AFTER grinding, not before. Would have been nice if the recipe had given the pre-ground amount to help out so you're not fussing with grinding, measuring, adding more, grinding, measuring again...you get the idea. But, in spite of my error, they turned out great (albeit thick because I chose to use only one pan since I shortened the ingredients. They were moist, with a slight walnut flavor and the oats gave the dough great texture. I've noticed that many shortbread recipes will add ground oats, so this was in line with more authentic shortbread recipes. Next time I might add a 1/2 -1 tsp walnut extract, to really punch up that flavor. Drizzling the chocolate was a bit of a pain, because it kept thickening up, but unless presentation is critical for you, big globs of chocolate work and are very tasty!
