I made this for our family's Thanksgiving dinner and everyone said it was the best pumpkin pie they had ever tasted. Very light, not as heavy as your standard pumpkin dessert, it was delish!

Wow! This was the best pumpkin pie I have ever eaten. The pumpkin was very creamy, and the whip cream with the pumpkin pie spice in it was a great touch. I made it a week before Thanksgiving following the recipe exactly to make sure it would be perfect. For Thanksgiving, I followed some reviewers advice by using the whole 8 oz of cream cheese and added a little more brown sugar. It was perfect - not to sweet and very light and creamy. This will be the new recipe I follow any time I make a pumpkin pie!

Loved this pie! Even the kids liked it. I too, used the full 8oz of cream cheese. It was so easy to make I will definitly make it again next year, maybe even before next Thanksgiving. The whip cream was great too but have to confess I had my aunt help with that. Thank you Sandra for an excellant recipe!

I made this yesterday and substituted 4 ounces of whipped cream cheese instead of the original cream cheese. It made the pie so light. Definitely a do over in this house. And the topping was delicious, just be careful not to mix it too long as mine got a little cllumpy, but the taste was wonderful.
