Flavor was good and directions simple. My kids and their friends love them

Make these all the time. I use ground venison because I always have a lot, and I use a homemade empanada dough and it sends it over the top!

I followed the recipes exactly but left out the curry as I didnt have it on hand. I sorry to say that this was not a hit at the dinner party that I brought it too. The guests said the spice combination was not to their liking and the meat needed some kind of dipping sauce. Was very disappointed.

I now make these all the time. My family loves them. I especially love the slightly sweet flavor while still having tiny bit of heat.

Made these tonight. I think they needed to be cooked longer because the crust wasn't super flaky. I used 3 tbsp butter and prob could have only used 2. It did make everyone happy in the house, which isn't always easy.

Loved these!! I couldn't find the empanada wrappers at my store, so I used some frozen puff pastry. Still delicious. Hopefully my store will start carrying the wrappers soon.

I finally have all ingredients in play. I know, what took so long? But my fam likes the classics, so I have to choose my battles when it comes to the new. Going to try the Empanadas tonight though. Wish me luck, I have a finicky group with exception of my son. Will update soon. The review I give now is only preliminary.

Loved this! Hard-to-please husband even loved it! I added some red pepper flakes as hubby always likes those added. It was great! Next time I'll add a few chopped gloden raisins.
This has turned me onto Sazon seasoning. I'll be finding ways to use that again! I added the butter mix to the rice i made as a side and it added nice flavor and gave it some pinkish color. the pink was a little odd, but it tasted great.

EDIT - i've made this a few more times. most recently we used the Goya wrappers that have spice that makes them orange and PRETTY! flavor difference not detected but pretty.
With the summer heat we have been making them on the grill with a pan under them. Adds great flavor and crispness to the shell.
    LOVE THESE!

I was having what my family call "Family Jam Section" over at my house, I decided to try something new for them , these were the hit of the day.The adults would not let the children eat them said the empanadas were an adult food. FANTASTIC!!!!! I also made the "Red Chile Fire and Ice Sauce "from that show and we ate the empanadas with that it was great. Thank you Sunny!!
