I have been looking for a good biscuit recipe for a long time. These were OK but lacked real flavor. I don't know what I did wrong, if anything, but they were also not as fluffy as I expected. My boyfriend liked them though and so did I.

Love Sunny, love her cooking. I had to laugh when she picked up her lemon just KNOWING was now thinking "Holy Frap I'm going to hear about this". It's not like she was cooking for a customer after all and what she used didn't touch the floor.
Anyone who got the vapors from that has never been in a kitchen....Her biscuits are amazing, I tried them. Hope your Auntie didn't fuss at you too much sugar. Sunny I'm still giggling, you go girl....

I love biscuits and I love this Sunny recipe. I now use it for variations in a number of ways. Forget the lemon moment. Only sunny could carry it off with such finess`. You go girl!` My favorite FN show. Wish it were on at a different time. School gets out at the same time, and I do the grandkid pickup, so, I miss it and have to try and catch it on week-ends.

but not too exciting. i think they could use more flavor, but the consistency is amazing and the scallions add a wonderful touch. they were a hit!

I have to say, the picking the lemon off the floor was a shock. But Sunny only used the juice. She was cutting wedges from it so it's cool. Besides, the biscust were soo good. Thanks Sunny:-

I was shocked by the dropped lemon as well. The two second rule should NEVER apply on aired COOKING shows. Has absolutely nothing to do with having a life. I am giving Sunny 4 stars for the yummy sounding recipe... zero stars for using the dropped lemon. :(

Are you kidding me? You would give a 5 star recipe one star over something as petty as a lemon! Get a life!!

I used buttermilk in place of the milk/lemon juice and left out the scallions. These were truly the fluffiest, most delicious biscuits I've ever made and I've tried several recipes. I only added a pinch of salt, but next time I'm going to add 1/2 teaspoon. Unless her pinch is quite a bit bigger than mine, it just isn't enough. I highly recommend trying this recipe - I am putting this in the file for keeps!!
