I thought these were supposed to be reviews of the recipe shown, not the people who make it.. Haters!!! It's all about the food people!! Keep your blatantly rude and negative opinions of other to yourself. Who is anyone to judge? Anywho.. this is a wonderful AND versatile recipe. It also gives you alot of room to play with the ingredients. For instance, if you don't like the citrus of the orange try using some red wine vinegar. I just throw everything in the slow cooker and let it go. It's hard to go wrong with pulled pork. I like to use the meat for tacos and then freeze some for enchilada filling. Yummyyy.

I love all of the recipes that I've tried so far. Keep up the good work. It is so nice to see two people enjoy each other so much while doing something that they love together. Cooking is about love so keep being the Spice Fairy, keep twirling, and Y'ALL keep kissing and doing and saying what it takes to keep your love alive. I know that you have to pay attention to what your viewers are writing but know that there are people out here like me who enjoying seeing the love that you show in the kitchen and for each other!

I'm from Texas and what's up with the "y'all" slang? Y'all don't say it right. Y'all have some great recipes but I can't stand the way y'all act on the show. What's with all the theatrics, makes me want to puke everytime I see Gina acting like a fool. And Pat calling Gina "Mama".....ewwwww!

I agree! I tried to watch your show and had to turn the channel because of all the weirdness you are bringing to this show.
It is stomache turning to see all the fakeness. If you two were realy drunk and acted this way, fine. But you are not and it's plain to see you're trying way too hard. I don't like the line you stole from Paula Deen, "yall", it's bad enough hearing her say it all the time, but you guys are copy cats. Sorry Pat, but your laugh is as fake as they come and is just as bad. And the stupid little twirls your wife does....come on....the spice fairy?? Is this as original as you can get?
Stop acting like you need to keep the rating up, because you're turning people away. Try being yourselves....PLEASE!!!

I watched your show and wanted to let you know that I have tried some of your recipes and they have been very good. I have not tried this one yet but must comment on your shows in general. I wanted to scream at you to stop all the fake crap and just be real. The youalls sound fake and exagerated. I am from the south and even the deepest south doesn't speak like that. It is one thing to be upbeat and interesting to keep your viewers involved, but what you both do on the show is repulsive. I stopped watching the show and came to my computer to get the recipes. Please tone it down and be real people we can relate to not fakes we can not stand to watch.

I loved this dish. The pork was very tender and the flavor of the sauce was awesome! I misread the recipe when I first made it and did not include the juiced lime and orange in the sauce that went into the oven. It tasted perfect! The only thing that I didn't like is that the sauce didn't thicken enough for me!

This recipe is very similar to tradtional carnitas that I make. With that said, I couldn't figure out why some comments complained about the bitter citrus flavor. The recipe isn't clear, but you need to take the orange and lime OUT after everything is cooked and before you start shredding the pork. Otherwise, I find the citrus flavor not to be strong at all. If you leave the cooked citrus in, I would imagine it would taste nasty as some have described. I can make this again and again, my family just slurps it up!!

We made this and it was not so good. We did exactly as on tv but you could really get that bitter taste from the pith. I am making it again but will jest the lime and orange. and discard the white pith. There was a real astringant off flavor to the dish as written.

I followed the receipe exactly and it's great but a little too citrusy (if that's a word. Next time I'll use less orange and see if I like it better! Overall great receipe and the pork comes out sooo tender!

The pulled pork tacos are awesome.I would make no changes to this recipe. I did make changes to the coleslaw.I like mayo in my coleslaw.
Fr the dressing I used 1/2 cup mayo. , 2 tableIspoons honey, juice of 1 lime, the chipotle chili powder and cumin to taste.Probably 1/8 teaspoon of each and salt and pepper. I mixed this together and let it sit in the fridge. I chopped 1/2 head of cabbage , grated 3 carrotts and chopped bell pepper , sliced green onions and a lot of chopped cilantro.
This was an awesome coleslaw.I'm serving it with fish tacos tomorrow night .
It was exactly like the coleslaw BJ's Brewery uses on their fish tacos.
PS ..I could barely stand to watch this show because Gina is sooooo obnoxious but I was so intrigued by the recipe I had to stick it out.
