little do these fools giving low ratings out for what she does on her show, it doesn't matter if she dips her fingers in the batter, any possible germs are gonna cook out anyway.

I just tried them and they are yummy! I frosted some with vanilla cream frosting and it's actually a little too heavy - the whipped cream is much better. The recipe makes 36 cupcakes when you fill the pan with one large scoop of cupcake batter and the time is right on. Loved them. by Nancy, Lake Charles, LA January 16, 2011

HELP! I would like to try this recipe but am still confused about how many cupcakes it is supposed to yield? On the show it looked liked regular size cupcake / muffin tins ( 12 cupcake and she used a large ice cream scoop --can not remember 1 or 2 scoops -- NO cupcake liner. How high would you fill each cupcake/muffin tin to fill properly for this recipe? Any help or specific direction would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

YUMMY CUPCAKES AND THE BISCONES (FROM SAME SHOW WERE ALSO DELICIOUS. TO THOSE WHOSE COMMENTS ABOUT THE 'FINGER-DIPPING' UNFAIRLY BROUGHT THE RATING DOWN...I SAY THEY SOUND AS IF THEY ARE IN PAULA'S KITCHEN EATING THE FOOD!!! ALSO, LOVED THE COMMENT ABOUT COOKING WITH KIDS...THIER FINGERS ARE IN EVERYTHING AND NO ONE EVER GOT SICK. CHEEZ... RELAX ALREADY

I always look at the comments. If you do not like the "cleanliness" and rate the recipe with one star, it lowers the score. Who cares what they do--its two friends having fun in the kitchen. And if you listen closely, she said" excuse my hands, they are clean". And I am sure during the commercial breaks, they clean their hands... Get over it! Love you Paula-- and they were great!

I love the fact that Paula has the nerve to show how cooks all across the country are in the kitchen; finger dippin', bowl lickin', everything!!! The only time I don't allow that in my kitchen is if I have guests coming for dinner. Otherwise if you can't sample while making it what fun is cooking.

I tried this receipe and the tarts turned out great and were a hit at a church social. Even the kids loved them. I like the fact that when I made this receipe into a cake it was a breeze to decorate because I did not have to cut away any to make the layers flat, it baked up flat.
