probably fine if you like thing really sweet! but if you don't you should modify...
this was okay... after reading that it was too sweet, I stopped at 1 1/2 cups of sugar...if I can't find another recipe I would modify this even more next this next time and try 2 oz of butter and 6 oz of cream cheese as the cream cheese flavor got lost as more sugar was added

This was amazing and tasted great but I don't really think of it as a frosting. I think it needs a bit of tweaking. It's more a texture of a filling or something, but if all you care about is taste, MAKE THIS. It's really, really good. Like, lick the bowl clean good.

Honestly, I didn't really like this frosting. It was OK. To me, there wasn't enough cream cheese flavor to call it cream cheese frosting and there was too much butter! I felt kinda like I was just eating sweet whipped butter all over my cake. I prefer a frosting that isn't so thick and heavy, and if you're gonna call it cream cheese frosting, let's have more cream cheese! I will never make this frosting again.

It was a great starting point. I'm really new to baking and this was easy to follow. I put this on Gluten free carrot cup cakes and used 8 oz. of cream cheese and 1 1/2 powdered sugar because I don't like my frosting too sweet and the cream cheese flavor worked really well with the carrot. yum.

I made it exactly as written and liked it a lot. It is a little sweet, but goes nicely on the gluten-free chocolate cupcakes I made it for. The kids in my daughter's class will never know they are eating a gluten-free cupcake!

WOW! FANTASTIC! I'm not the chef in our family, my girlfriend is but I decided to suprise her. Believe you me when I say I can burn water. But I threw caution into the wind and trusted the Food Network. I made some home made cupcakes using this cream cheese frosting and it was fantastic! It was easy to use and follow. I highly recommend this site to everyone! I've learned alot by being in this web site along with watching it on TV. I'm not the next Iron Chef but I'm learning. Thank you very much!

This was my first time following a frosting recipe online and not from someone I knew. It tasted Awesome! Very Easy. Plenty to cover a 13x9 pan cake.

I LOVED this but had to double it because the vanilla was too strong. Next time I'd use only 1/2 tsp vanilla. Highly addictive! I could eat it out of the bowl with a spoon.
