I don't understand the bad reviews--this dish is delicious! And don't omit the lime juice--it's one of the main flavors. If you change the recipe, don't give it a bad review.

I thought this turned out great, the combination of sweet and spicy was perfect. This is a great healthy summer meal. The recipe does make more then expected so be ready for leftovers!

This is a terrible recipe. The fish sauce is way too potent and I normally love Asian inspired dishes that use fish sauce.

Absolutely excellent. Lime juice is the KEY ingredient, so don't be fooled into omitting it. The ingredients work perfectly together. Just don't smell the fish sauce. It's fantastic. Healthy, easy, quick. Bravo.

This is tasty and healthy! However, fish sauce has a really strong smell, so unless you are used to it, you may find it uncomfortable.

This was so good! I did do a little substituting because I couldn't get fresh asparagus, and the market was out of shiitaki mushrooms. I used frozen asparagus and only cooked it in the microwave for half the time, so it wasn't completely cooked. I also used monterrey mushrooms since i couldn't get the shiitake. The flavor was great...I was a little worried about the fish sauce, but it was really mild. Also, instead of using the flat rice noodles, I used the vermicelli style. I will definitely make this again!

All the ingredients work well together. I actually marinated the mushrooms and asparagus for most of the day instead of the 10 min the recipe called for. They were not over marinated at all. 10-15 min for the shrimp is plenty time for them to soak in the marinade flavors. If you've never used fish sauce, don't be afraid of it. Out of the bottle, it almost has a sour smell. When used properly as an ingredient, it doesn't make the dish taste fishy. I used almost 3 TBS of the hot sauce but that's because we like spice. I wasn't even that spicy with the extra hot sauce. Careful not to overcook the asparagus. We did so it was a little to dry with little crunch. Very tasty summer time meal!

This is the only food network recipe that has failed me. I will eat anything, but not this. Even my boyfriend, who just returned from Iraq, thought this was gross. The smell was even worse than the taste.

This was hands down one of the worse recipes I've ever tried! I took the reviewers suggestions and omitted the lime juice, but I should have taken it a step further and not even made this. At first the flavors seemed ok, not delicious but ok, but then it just got worse and worse. The fish sauce was way too overpowering, and the remaining ingredients did not help either. seafood is too expensive to waste on this horrible recipe. No one liked it. I had to throw the leftovers out!
