It is very bold! I added some seasoning to the gravy since others said it was a little bland. We used Guinness and only half. It was good though! Definitely one of those you either love it or hate it recipes!

Loved it. Used a light beer for the gravy (what I had and combined with the bacon and onions, the gravy was delish. Only problem was I had thick boneless chops so even after cooking them properly, they were not as tender and juicy as I would like. But that's the fault of my meat, not the recipe.

Try the apple-onion pickles that Rachel offered along with this recipe. That made a wonderful difference, tangy, added juice and a great crunch with each bite of pork chop.

I made this dish last night and it turned out awesome, I used a dark ale beer in the gravy and it came out perfect. I would do this again... Thx Rachael

Not a fan at all. Me and my boyfriend both disliked the smell and taste of the gravy. It took hours to get the smell out of the house.
