I couldn't get the mac & cheese to stay together so I dumped the egg, flour and some extra seasonings, four slices diced bacon and then formed balls to fry. It was passable but if I do it again I will be a little heavier handed with the spices. The pasta along with the "batter" tends to be a little too bland.

Lots of trouble but delicious. I recommend putting the balls back in the fridge after they are formed so they can firm up before you bread them - then they are won't fall apart.

Very good, however the recipe did not clarify that you really need to make the Mac & Cheese earlier and refrigerate. So when I did the recipe I thought I was supposed to make then and it was too hot and slippery to stick together. Maybe I missed that part of the directions, but it would have been much simpler and not so messy if I had known that. Otherwise it was great, because my mixture did not stick together well it was more like a hash brown style, but tasted great just as well. She also says Apple sauce for dipping, no one cared for that too much

It states in the recipe that you use left over macaroni and cheese so I am assuming that means any macaroni and cheese recipe that I want to use. I have not yet tried it but am planning on it.

People, people, people! I guess I don't know how the "old way" was but evidently that way is no longer "the way" it is done. My question to everyone is this. Is it REALLY nessessary to make any of these shows' recipes the very day they air. I have found that there is not a recipe out there that could not wait at least one day to make. It seems easier to me to wait for a day, then look for the recipe than to gripe about it and then finding it a day later anyway. I did look here on 3-1 am, did not find but one recipe. Less than 24 hrs later all recipes are here. I like to make these asap too, but give me a break, you really can't wait one day? I read all reviews for recipes I am interested in and finally decided to write in because I am tired of seeing people gripe about something so petty as this. Just be patient.

Thank you, Diana, for posting the macaroni and cheese recipe! Quick question: Does anyone know how much pasta she cooked up?
