This dish is great--simple to make, and delicious! I am dismayed at the amount of people, however, who are inappropriately rating technical difficulties of FN here, when they should be ONLY rating the recipe! THIS IS REFLECTED IN THE STAR RATINGS OF THE DISH! If you're upset with FN, then tell them via another avenue. Marcela is THE best; a bubbly personality who is a joy to watch! More of her, please, less of the old timers....I mean, 30 min meals? Not so much anymore.

I thought I'd missed the shrimp segment b/c I was executing a diaper change, but it appears that everyone in my neck of the woods experienced the technical difficulty. I have the cookbook, so had the recipe (and pic already. Since I had everything except the shrimp on hand, I decided to go ahead and try the marinade with chicken breasts. I didn't skewer the chicken breasts :

The chicken came out great on the grill - very good flavors. The chipotle was just the right amount for me, although my husband wanted more heat.

I will definitely try with shrimp as well with chicken again!

Well I wish that food network would at least put up a video of this recipe but at least the great recipe is here... I would love to see traditional mexican recipes made easy. Good Luck Marcella.

I dont believe it's her fault-that they skipped over her shrimp recipe when it
was aired. I would not give her a bad rating because of it. Her recipe is right
here to view-a matter of following directions for prep. So far her recipes sound
rather good, she has a wonderful outgoing personality. Im glad to see finally
a new show & not all the reruns. I adore Giada as well, but must agree, she
gotta lotta clevage going on/LOL. I have not tried this recipe as of yet-cause
had to look it up,cause like the rest of you-it got skipped over. Keep up the
good work Marcela, you doing a great job :

I said it before and say it again we take our valuable time to wacth some of your best programing, now Marcela Valladolid, a fresh face, but the food netwok did it again you FAILED TO SHOW THE PREPARATION OF SMOKIN'SHRIMP, what's wrong with your editors are they slipping on the job or perphas drinking? I agree with the viewer that says that you show to many old programs Giada does she own the food Network? arrogant Bobby too much grilling, but the real good fresh ones on your show only get one half hour of your programs a week. Get with it and reprogram your weekly show that it has become BORING, BORING with the same old things.

My COMCAST dvr recorded the beginning segment TWICE, so I did not get to see the shrimp segment at all. ???

This is a FAB show! Why can't Food Network air a few repeats of the ridiculous Sat @ 9:30 AM slot, during the week (at more normal times of day!?? Why do we need 4, 5, 6 airings of old pre 2006 showings of Boy Meets Grill? or be tortured with 4,5,6 airings of repeats of cleavage showing Giada?? etc etc?

Please give Marcela's show more airings! Now, I can't even re-tape the shrimp segment because there are no repeat showings.

I LUV this show, and it was about time that Food Network had a show on about Mexican Cuisine! Marcela is fun to watch, has a great bubbly personality, and gives super information regarding the food.

    Shrimp Dish:
We did decide to go ahead and try our hand at this shrimp dish this weekend, even without having seen the segment on air, and it was a HUGE hit with our friends!! The shrimp were tender, juicy and spicy YUM! LUV!!

I can't wait to try the rest of her recipes now. But please Food Network, repeat air her show during the week!!!

When I watched the show on television, the chips and guacamole was shown twice, deleting the shrimp recipe. I would love to see the shrimp prepared!
