How can you go wrong with 4 of my favorite things in one recipe. Fresh garlic, lemon, olive oil and the star black beans. I took it to our Super Bowl party and several friends asked for the receipe. I'll definitely be making it again. Thanks Melissa!

Absolutely wonderful. I used a can of black beans. I know I will be making this recipe again and again.

This black bean hummus is a great change-of-pace appetizer. It's so easy to make, incredibly tasty and it's even good for you - a real win-win-win of a recipe.

I have never made hummus before but Melissa made it seem so simple and it was! I just finished making it and it tastes absolutely delicious. I did not have white wine vinegar so I used just a dash of apple cider vinegar. I will make this recipe again and again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I made it with canned beans for the Super Bowl and then made it again today with dried beans that I soaked and cooked. It was delicious both ways. You can adjust the amounts of garlic and cumin to your taste. I used extra virgin olive oil and I could taste it in the hummus and I really liked that. I know that I am going to make this often.

I love Melissa and I look forward to her show each week.

And this is #3 on my tested recipes that will be used at our March party. OK, maybe it should've been called Black Bean Dip, since it has no tahini to make it hummus, but it still tastes great & is good for you. Mine came out a gorgeous purple color & I put it on romaine lettuce leaves, not iceberg, although I understand that the iceberg was needed to hold the overall price down for the TV episode. I think the romaine is crunchier, better nutritionally, & it has a natural channel down the middle to pick up the dip. Also I personally found the vinegar and lemon juice a little too sour & will adjust the recipe next time. Overall it was another winner!

Humus is a Middle Eastern dish with tahini. Here again Melissa is making up a NON--AUTHENTIC VERSION OF A DISH. It looks like something the dog threw up.
