How much butter is used for this recipe? One person said the TV showed 2 and one half cups of butter which is the correct measurement.

I think Kathleen used 2 and a half sticks of butter, which is one and a quarter cups (per the recipe.

The butter here is ONE CUP LESS than on TV! Kathleen used 2 1/2 cups of butter.

I just watched Ina and her friend bake these cookies on TV. I printed the recipe and was about to make them when I noticed two changes from their actual presentation on TV and the printed recipe: on TV the oven temp was 375; the recipe calls for 350. On TV walnuts were used; the recipe calls for almonds.
Additionally, Mrs. King mixed the cookie dough very little - a surprise to Ina.
I can't wait to try them.
