Easy and Delicious...These will go into the party rotation for sure! Not even a crumb was left as my guests devoured them. Super easy to make. Costco's got a great pesto that I used instead of making my own.

I made these exactly by the recipe even though I do not like goat cheese. I still did not care for the goat cheese but the rest was great. Took them to a party and they were devoured. The next time I use this recipe I will use fresh mozzarella as was suggested in a previous review and will also substitute walnuts for the pine nuts since the pine nuts are so expensive. Overall this is a wonderful recipe and so easy. I will make this over and over again.

They didn't turn out bad but I was a little disappointed. I felt the flavor was lacking a bit. Usually Ina's recipes blow me away so I guess I was just expecting more. I don't think I'll make these again...too much work for almost nothing in return. Sorry Ina!

We hired a chef to help with a recent party. He was great and brought some
wonderful goodies, but I made Ina's Savory Palmiers, and they were the hit
of the evening. Made them the night before, cut them, and had them in the
refrigerator, so we could bake them and serve them right out of the oven.
Did use store bought pesto. Even people who normally don't like goat cheese
went back for more and more. No leftovers with these. Thanks Ina. We've learned so much from you. Your recipes are THE BEST.

Made these for a dinner party and everybody loved them! I will make again but be sure not to place them too close together when baking--that should ensure that they are nice and crispy.

I was worried that I could not pull these off, but they came out great! I took a shortcut and used jar pesto - still delicious. I saved $$ by buying the pignolis in the ethnic spice section of the grocery store-less than $1.50 for a small bag that makes 2 rolls- they are smaller but work well in these and add the desired taste.

I prepared these today for my partner and they are FANTASTIC!
The trick to these is you realy MUST work quickly with really COLD CHILLED PASTRY in order two slice them correctly before baking.
I'm not at all a goat cheese fan. I bought some low sodium thinly sliced cooked chicken breast from the deli counter and placed a single layer acrros the 9 1/2" x 11 1/2' pastry dough and rolled them up according to Ina's recipe.
I baked them a little longer than 14 minutes. They are savory and delicious.
A perfect companion to any smart cocktail!
Thank You Ina!

These are a really easy go to appetizer and as a few people have suggested...you can definitely use different ingredients depending upon the type of party you are throwing or if you have unexpected guests show up. YUM...thanks Ina!!

Ready to make these, but pine nuts have become so expensive....over $12.00 for small package.
Any suggestions on a substitution for the pine nuts?
