I was so glad for this easy recipe which combined flavors I loved. I kept the slices a little larger and baked it a little longer than the recipe says to do, but then I had the perfect sized appetizers for my Superbowl crowd! These were a definite crowd pleaser! I love the Barefoot Contessa show!

I made this recipe as a way to use up ingredients that this just so happened to part the ingredient list. The taste was just ok. I don't think it was worth the effort to do again. I had to cut the strips into 1/2", not 1/4" pieces, as it was hard to slice too thinly. If you make these, I'd recommend freezing it for an hour, not just refrigerating it, to make thinner slicing easier. As for me, I don't think I'd make these again.
