This was a snap to make and my kids loved it. I'll be making it again and again. I love the show and am working my way through all of the recipes. Thanks, Melissa.

I feel like I am a seasoned cook, but I usually learn something new from Melissa's show. The crispy potato cake was excellent and easy, something I'm always looking for in a recipe. Even tho I use my food processor a lot, I don't think about using it to grate. Melissa reminded me what an easy recipe this can be when you use your food processor to grate the potato vs. by hand. I look forward to using this recipe for a breakfast staple as well.

Hi - I tried to make this last night and the middle was very wet. Did I do something wrong? Maybe squeeze it more...any help would be appreciated.

I can't believe how easy this was. Crispy, tender and stayed together beautifully. I thought there was something special about store-bought hashbrowns, but this was better tasting and easier than preshredded or even the premade patties. Nexxt time I will put a few fresh herbs in with the shreds.

the original recipe using russet potatoes was great! However I tried making it again with sweet potatoes..unfortunately I did not have the same luck... I used the same amout of oil and butter...but the sweet potatoes were soggy and never crisped up. I'm not sure if I should of soaked the sweet potatoes first to get rid of the extra starch....or used less oil and butter....or cooked at a higher temperature...any advice?

I tried the cake by itself and I have discovered a great side for breakfast or brunch. I put bacon, egg and gome greated cheese on top and my family ate it up.

These are really easy and good. I made them with your delish samon cakes
and there was not a crumb left of either.
Glad you won Melissa. I tape your show every week just incase I am not home
and then I watch it over again if I need to.
