I love the crispy edges and the soft insides. Instead of grating the potato, I sliced it into very thin slices with my food processor. That turned out delicious!

Made the yummy Steak Dinner menu but did a few change-ups. I made your cafe salad recipe instead of the kale salad so that I could use the pears & blue cheese on this crispy potato cake instead of in the salad. Once the recipe was completed as you made it, I added thinly sliced pears on top of the potato cake and sprinkled the blue cheese over them. Put it under the broiler for a few seconds to melt the cheese. Sooo good. Thanks Melissa, love your recipes and your tips.

Food network did well by bringing you onboard. I love your smile, your fresh attitude your delicious recipes, and being frugal, yet classy at the same time. These potatoes take me back to Switzerland. Roesti potatoes and steak and salad is a winner in my book. Keep up the good work. I will continue to watch you and learn--and enjoy!

I made this recipe exactly as described for a Valentines Day dinner and it turned out great! My husband loved them and I'll definetely make it again. Thanks Melissa!

I'm so glad that you decided to make this recipe. I had a recipe from another tv chef and it was a mess.
This looks so easy when you made it ...I can't wait to try it. It's exactly how it should look like. My mother also made this type of dish but I had not been able to duplicate it.
