Tried this recipe along with several others in this episode (Flavor Magnets. This was my first time making carrot soup as it just never appealed to me because I always pictured it as having a slightly sweet taste. This recipe sounded different because of the ginger added to it and it seemed as it would be more savory then sweet.
The recipe was very easy and cooking time was quick. Used 4 chicken cubes instead of the stock. Served it hot and put a dollop of the yogurt, etc. on top and mixed it in as we ate it. Surprisingly it really tasted wonderful and I will make it again!
