Just made this for dinner and it is amazing. Definitely use San Marzano's and a good quality Pecorino. I only had Casarecce pasta so I used it and it was great. Can't wait for leftovers.

I tried this recipe! It is amazing! The spicy tomato sauce warmed me right up! The pasta adds a nice creamy texture!

When it comes to Italian meat sauces, I thought I'd tried them all until I made this one. This is especially rich and delicious. I've made it several times and my company loves it. It have used bulk Italian sausage instead of, or in combination with, ground pork for added flavor. I also add a splash or two of Pernod (a French liquor for a touch of sweetness. This is wonderful over tagliatelle or potato gnocchi.

I love spicy Italian dishes and this hit the spot. It was easy to make and all the ingredients fit. The only hard part was buying San Marzano tomatoes which are hard to find in Phoenix and extremely expensive.

When I saw this on TV, I could not wait to make it. When I got to the store, I could not remember if it was ground pork or ground italian sausage, so I bought both. I made the recepie by combining both and WOW. It came out GREAT! I added a bit more red pepper because I like some spice. The smell of it cooking is amazing. Give this one a try.

It was pretty good, but the flavor wasn't quite as bold as I expected it to be after hearing her talk on the show about how "spicy" and "big flavored" the recipe was. If you're really into spicy food like I am and can handle some heat, you might want to add more red pepper flakes and maybe some cayenne pepper as well. Also, it wasn't as thick and hearty as I felt a pasta sauce should be. I even added a couple of spoonfuls of pasta cooking water to thicken it. Overall, it was still a great meal. I would just make a few adjustments next time, including kicking up the spice factor a few notches.

The smell of this cooking was so good the neighbors came over to ask what I was making! When I watched her make this on the show, I kept thinking, "where's the basil?". But at the end she said you could add some torn basil leaves. I used fresh from my garden. Man, that is some good eating. You could use ground turkey and whole grain pasta to make this a really healthy dish. But you wouldn't want to!

When I saw this on tv I thought, ?oh, another pasta and sauce recipe?. But, once I started making it and the aroma filled my kitchen, I knew I was in for a treat. The flavors are bold, unexpected, and kept me going back to the pot for more. I?m going to try this again with different meats and pastas.
