Great rustic comfort food - made 3x for friends & when sick. I add a bit more tomato paste or dblconcentrated (Amore tube & also use canned artichokes. Have tried both chicky filets & breast on bone... def use bone-in. GreensNcheese bruschetta a MUST for sopping broth (which you may need more of when reheating. TASTY.

I saw the episode for this while running on the treadmil at the gym. Looked yummy so I made it for my family over the holidays along with the bruschetta with fontinia cheese and greens. I also made the peanut butter cookies with blackberry jam. They were a hit as well. Each of the receipes were easy to follow.

I saw this episode over the summer and remembered it today when I felt like something warm and comforting. This soup was simple and delicious. I followed all of the directions and used all the ingredients, with the exception of substituting bacon for pancetta. The bruschetta with fontina and greens was a great accompaniment.

Good base, with changes it could be great. Keep the basil, forget the thyme and sage. Thyme is just overpowering and sage is too bitter. 3 cans of chicken broth and possibly 1/2 the chicken and double the beans (really love the creamy texture they bring to the soup.
Not sure what the artichoke hearts bring to the soup but I would NEVER toss them. Will make again with the changes I noted.

My whole family enjoyed this. I couldn't find fresh basil or frozen artichokes, so I used half a teaspoon of dried basil and one can of artichokes. Also added an extra carrot. Perfect dinner for me as I'm fighting a cold.

This was fabulous. It's so easy and have most of the ingredients on hand. Only left out the artichokes (eww so to have some other vegetable to add, found some squash to toss in. Just make sure to add late in the cooking so doesn't get mushy. Would make this any day of the week and even for company!

This was absolutely delicious! Viewed the episode and my partner and I decided to make it for Christmas aside from ham and turkey. The wonderful aromas and flavors of this dish has now become our traditional Christmas dinner. We also made the bread with spinach and cheese, substituting the fontina for new england cheddar and havarti. This was an easy meal to prepare and we loved the one pot idea.
