You are giving this recipe one star because you don't think that a recipe needs alcohol? Seriously? Tiramisu ALWAYS has alcohol in it. That is a main ingredient, leaving it out would not be tiramisu. Perhaps you should try the recipe BEFORE you decide it doesn't need alcohol prior to declaring Ina a bad cook. It is not a waste to use alcohol in cooking. Most top chefs use wine and liquor all the time.

I watched you making italian wedding soup, where did you get that recipe?I make italian wedding soup or holiday soup for the past forty years, no dill, no wine and the meatballs are ground veal or beef and hand rolled. Also I make a fritatta of eggs and cut in cubes for the soup, with escarole as the greens. I would love to share this recipe with you. MOM MOM JANE

Can you make anything without alcohol? I'm sorry, but if you flavor everything with alcohol, I cannot consider you a good cook. What a waste!

I know I'm risking showing my culinary stupidity, but as I watched Ina make this dessert, I was surprise to learn that the finished product, which included raw eggs, was never put to the fire. I trust Ina completely, as every recipe of hers I've ever tried has been delicious, but I just need to know why, with all the warnings about salmonella in raw eggs, I won't have to worry about serving uncooked eggs to my guests? Also, how long will the tiramisu stay fresh enough to serve considering it contains raw eggs?
