I can't wait to try this....My husband and I followed you throughout the competition and saw that you where the one even in your worst moments! Love your personality and your recipes. We do not eat zucchini, can anyone suggest a substitute?
Melissa, you make people change their view of the stay at home mom. Makes them understand it's not easy.
Kudos to you for having the guts to peruse your dream and BIG KUDOS to your Hubby for having your back and pushing you!

First off to Sue, I think you may have missed the point of this episode. It wasn't about servings grubs to guests, it was about a delicious and savory chicken cassoulet. I made this recipe and my family just loved it. But chicken thighs weren't on sale this week at my market, so I used only two instead of the recipe's calling for four. I just cut the two thighs twice ( who needs a whole thigh for a serving when a half will do? each so I still had 8 pieces and just added extra white beans and breadcrumbs. My family of four was happy and satisfied and we still had leftovers for lunch next day! God bless you Melissa for your wonderful recipes.

I can hardly wait to see this episode. Melissa has done wonders with bargain proteins to stretch budget dollars in past recipes, but even those kvetchers and complainers who say they can't afford flank steak or fillet of sole in their grocery stores should be able to obtain a pound of grub for a reasonable price. Grubs, while fresh and nutritious, are probably not in high demand in most meat shoppes which should keep their impact on one's dinner budget low. And while perhaps a little flavorfully bland on their own, some white wine, a liberal splash of EVOO, some cumin and lemon zest should spice up that skillet of grub into a fancy feast for familly or guests. Just tell 'em it's orzo! Keep the good stuff coming, Melissa. We love your show!
