I made this last night and it was wonderful. I did not have the same problem as the 1st reviewer, as I followed the recipe exactly as given.

I make my simple syrup with a 1 to 1/2 ratio (ie, 1 cup water, 1/2 cup sugar and still found this drink too sweet - I added a bit more gin to it. I didn't really get anything from the zucchini, and it took nearly a whole zucchini for the 2 tbsps. In spite of that, and with the adjustments, I thought this was a fine martini. Props to Claire for using gin and not going the vodka route (I saw she used gin again in a cocktail this morning - she must really like it!.
