The salt should be 2 teaspoon of Kosher salt. I made the pizza dough for my grandson 12th birthday party. The children made their on pizza just the way they want it. I must said the chlidren loved their homemade pizza. Even the adult who said that they hate pizza was won over. I will keep this receipe.

The two tablespoons of salt called for in this recipe seems to be a misprint. On the show itself, he calls for a pinch of salt "for flavor," but two tablespoons is way too much. I had not made pizza dough before and followed this recipe innocently only to arrive at a pizza that was basically inedible due to the unbearably salty crust. I wish the Foodnetwork would correct this issue so others do not waste time and money before checking the ingredients.

I can't wait to try this recipe, but just wanted to comment on the salt since it seems a lot of people are puzzled about it. Just wanted to point out that the recipe says KOSHER salt. I myself just recently learned that you should generally approx. double the kosher salt if using for regular salt, so by that logic I think you'd only use 1 tbsp of regular salt for this recipe. Hope that helps!

I just watched this show and Tyler says 2 TB of salt and he grabs a hand full of salt. I even thought wow is that just 2 TB's so I cant understand why you say he said just a pinch so whatever but this recipe is a wonderful pizza dough and takes no time to put together. I used to go to my local pizza shop and spend $7.00 for a x-large dough ball but no more I can make it faster or course not counting the rise time.

If you watch the video for this recipe he only uses a dash of salt. Not 2 Tablespoons. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVz9uD_scbs

This pizza dough is awesome and so easy to roll out. I agree with the other comment about the salt. It was way too salty for me the first time around but the second time around I reduced the salt to just 1/2 a tablespoon and it was awesome!

Loved this recipe. It really was EZ to make. I made it a month ago for my family, but I didn't taste it. I made it again today and it was way to salty for me. My family loves the salt, but they don't need it. Can I leave the salt out completely? Does anyone know? But otherwise, the crust was great!!

This is the easiest dough ever. I use my Kitchenaid Professional stand mixer with the dough hook which takes all the work out of it. I made it for the first time a couple weeks ago for a couple pizzas. I'm making it again today for Calzones we're having for supper tonight.

I did decrease the kosher salt from 2 Tbsp down to about 1 1/2 or so since some say it was salty. I also used 1/2 AP flour and 1/2 Whole Wheat Pastry Flour for that little extra.
