My family loved, loved, loved this recipe. We put powder sugar, drizzled chocolate syrup, and whip cream on top. Just like the amusement parks! Very easy to prepare. Tasty! Suggestion for all, You Tube an how to video for funnel cakes to see the technique for frying it. There might even be one on this site but didn't look.

The only thing was the ease of prepping all the ingredients but otherwise it turned out awful. The batter kept spreading out in the oil & was soft & soggy. Had to turn to Sandra Lee's recipe for the same. Sorry Sunny :(

I made this for my daughter, husband, great grandmother and mom for mother's day weekend. They loved it. It was really light and not overly sweet. Perfect. I felt like I was at an amusement park! My granny was even able to eat it and she has no teeth! It was super easy to make. I will definitely be making this as a summer holiday treat again.

I have tried several funnel cake recipes, and this is the lightest, tastiest one ever! Great with powdered sugar and strawberries, but it is so delicious just by itself!
