We enjoy this recipe. I think the serving size for this recipe must be off. I only used 3 pounds of brisket, and I had 4 HUGE servings, the recipe says that 5-6 pounds of brisket will yield 4 servings.

This was easy, and had tons of flavor. I forgot to put the garlic in with the meat, so I just cooked it in the pan quickly and put it on top. Brisket can be very tough, but this turned out very tender. My husband ate it plain, not even on a sandwich, and he loved it! I had it on a wheat hamburger bun with the coleslaw, which added nice crunch and freshness. Pile it on! The sauce was a bit acidic for my taste, so I think next time I might just use barbecue sauce and brown sugar instead of all the different elements. I'll be trying this again!

Delish! Follow the recipe. I was getting nervous that my brisket was not getting tender enough but then just like magic, once it had been in the slow cooker for the prescribed time it was falling apart tender! Made it with mashed potatoes and reduced some of the liquid for gravy. Yummy!

This is an AMAZING recipe. Made it twice for company and am up e-mailing t to 2 friends who LOVED it. That's how good it is. Two things I'd add: Make sure when cutting a brisket, you cut ACROSS the grain for tenderness and make sure the beer you use in the recipe is a STOUT beer as the recipe says. You can bank on this one ~ just follow the recipe and get ready to share it with friends.

I'm the second 1-star rating...not sure what went wrong, except that I didn't use the celery and maybe that made all the difference, but the sauce was awful and no one in my family took more than 1 bite. Very disappointing.

Absolutely fantastic. I made it for family and they were extremely impressed. The meat is butter knife tender and just melts in your mouth. The flavor is exceptional.

DELISH!!! My husband and I absolutely loved it! It was just as good left over. I did not make it into a sandwich there was too much good sauce to waste. I served this over a a bed of egg noodles...ohhhhhh soooooo good!!

I hate to be the one star one but....this was not as great as I was hoping it would be. Did just the way the recipe instructed and it turned out very stringy and not juicy and tender...threw my $15.00 brisket in the garbage, which I never do!!! I never had to throw anything away....this was terrible....sorry!!!

OH man! This was so flavorful and fall-apart tender! I served it plain with fresh toasty french bread- makes delicious little sandwiches! This one definitely goes in my recipe book!

Yummy, a home run with the family. House smelled great while it was cooking. I only used 3 lbs. of brisket.
