Best pad thai ever. I didn't cook everything in the same order, used shrimp and chicken instead of beef, and soaked the noodles in hot water instead, but it was delicious! Better than most of the restaurants around here, anyway.

Tasted very good: But the noodles sort of all clumped together. Perhaps rinsing in cold water before frying will do the trick.

This was so good. My husband & I loved it! It was a little sweet to me, but I didn't use tamarind paste so maybe that was why. I couldn't find tamarind paste or red thai curry powder so I didn't use them but used regular currey powder instead. I would recommend doubling the meat!! I am making this again tonight with double the steak, 5 ounces wasn't enough for us or for all the leftover noodles. Of course, I am on a mission to find tamarind paste & red Thai curry powder too!

Very flavorful and quick to whip up if you do the prep work in advance. My only complaint is that I did have the tamarind paste, but it didn't really melt into the sauce, just kind of stayed in a blob. Not sure if I've just had the paste for too long, but next time I will probably try to dissolve it in some water first? And for those of you that can't find the tamarind paste, you can actually order it online from Janet's spice shop (or if you're lucky enough to be in Colorado, you can just shop there in person - great place! They won't let me post the link, but Google Savory Spice Shop and you can find the online store. Hope that helps!

Tremendous burst of flavor. Really liked this recipe and Spice and Easy is one of my favorites on Food Network, along with Aarti Party!

I don't know I must have done something wrong, as far as I know I followed the recipe, but it turned out horrible.

Thank you Janet, my search for an authentic Pad Thai recipe has ended. I tried it with pork it was as good as some of the best Pad Thai I have ever had. The tamarind is a must.

I absolutely love this show. I have been looking for something like this for a very long time. I love the different ways to use spices for a fresh taste without added sugar and fats. Thank you so much Janet!!!!

Love this Pad Thai. very easy to make. I did make a couple of minor adjustments. Used half the oil, 1/2 a cup was way too muchfor me. I couldn't find red curry powder so I used red curry paste. Also I couldn't find tamarind paste so I used tandoori paste which basically is tamarind, garlic and ginger. again, loved it!
