I guess I need more practice with this. The flavor was good but mine did come out a tad lumpy.

I live in Jacksonville and had never been to this little spot until we saw in on "Triple D." First thing I tried was the Roman-Style Gnocchi. Since then I have returned many times and I've never been disappointed. Although I must admit its hard not to go there just for the Roman Gnocchi.

13 Gypsies is 1/2 block from where I live. One of the best places to eat and take visitors in Jax. We in the hood were really excited when Guy visited. I was delighted he highlited my favorite dish! Thank you! Now I have the recipe, too!

As a resident of Jacksonville, I was really excited to see 13 Gypsies highlighted on "Triple D". This restaurant is outstanding! One thing I have not tried there is their gnocchi, but I really love Roman-style gnocchi. There's a great Italian place on Restaurant Row that is known for a their daily rotation of fresh pastas, and they make amazing gnocchi alla Romana. These taste just like what I had there. I must say that I need a little practice working the semolina into the milk without lumps, but even with a few lumps to start I was able to mix most of them out. The result was still wonderful. I baked half in a buttered dish as suggested, and pan-fried the rest as they do at 13G, and both ways were great. I served with a cream sauce, and they were excellent - my husband agreed.

If you make it to Jax, check out 13 Gypsies. If you can't, try out this recipe, it's great!
