I live a little too far from a chick-fil-a so I was excited to try this. All I can say is Thank You!!! This is almost dead on and very tasty. I will take the advice next time and try marinating in the pickle juice. Folks, give this a try, you will not be disappointed. Now off to try the Chimichangas that are in the current Food Network Magazine!

Say what you want, but it's worth giving the recipe the old college try.
I found my homemade sandwiches to be BETTER than the last Chic-Fil-A sammie I had!
i used a lot less oil and just flipped them until my thermometer said 165 in the thickest part of the breast and then let them drain on paper towels.
Super easy, took like 15 minutes total and was delicious. I'll make them again and again and again.

This was delicious. Not that we need to eat deep fried chicken for dinner, but when we do...this will be our go-to recipe. I was SO pleasantly surprised how well it came together and how close to the real deal it was. I followed the advice of one of the comments and marinated the chicken in pickle juice (not overnight, but for the majority of the day. I don't know how much of a difference it made, but the sandwiches were great and my whole family agreed. Repeating the egg/milk and flour twice made a difference on the thickness of the crispy outer (as one comment said it was too thin. I did some with one layer (they were just fine and some with the extra dip/dredge (they were crispier!. Depends on what you lilke. Overall, great job and I will certainly share this recipe with others.

The coating isn't quite as thick, but these are moist, tender, and DELICIOUS, and they really do taste like Chick-Fil-A! It's a little bit of work to get all the ingredients together, but it's easy to make, and SO worth it! I couldn't stop eating them!

Once again sugar turning up where we least expect it and making it even more unhealthy, but oh so tasty. Honestly I miss the days of the sugar/salt shake on McD's fries.

Suz-Anne, allow the sliced pickles to rest in the pickle juice and vinegar while you prepare everything else. Once everything is done, place the pickles on the bottom buns and discard the juice and vinegar. The vinegar and pickle juice give the pickles a great taste and cuts the fattiness of the butter and fried chicken.

you need to marinade the chicken breast in pickle juice over night this is how the chicken gets shipped to the Fil A's. After marinading then follow all the steps of this recipe and BAM you got your sandwich.
