They were very rich and tasteful. This recipe was much easier than I thought it would be. I was a little nervous at first, but I am so glad I chose this one. The cream cheese icing was awesome as well. But for the icing I used more vanilla and 1/2 the cream cheese and it was a hit. Thanks Paula!

It did not taste like red velvet but the cupcakes were still good. I was just looking for a true red velvet taste and I didnt get it with this recipe.

They turned out beautifully. Color and texture were great but the flavor was non existent. Actually, they tasted like oil. Love the frosting though. I'll keep looking for a more taste worthy recipe however.

Yummmm!. These were deliciousss. I made big and small ones and they both came out great. I did add a little extra cocoa powder and it made the color beautiful. They get more red once they are cooked. I will def make these again!.

My daughter loves Cupcake Wars, & so wanted to try to make Rebecca's cupcakes. She was not disappointed! Cakes came out perfectly, & actually improved in flavor after a few days in the fridge. This was also a winning cream cheese frosting! Not too awfully sweet, but not at all "cheesy", as my daughter put it. Fluffy & uncomplicated. We've made the frosting & used it on everything from pancakes to brown bread. Simply delicious!

I just made these the other day and they came out moist and fluffy, I love it!
Only 4 stars though because they were a bit too oily but nonetheless were yummy.
    I'll definitely bake them again!

These were the first RVC that I've made and they came out great. The only thing I would change is add more like 6 TBL of cocoa and less oil. Also make half a batch of the frosting, there's wayyy too much! But overall these are wonderful, everyone loved them. Will definitely make them again!!

Well, i screwed up a bit on the ingrediants side. Instead of red food coloring, I accedentily used red gel food coloring. And for the frosting, I used Salted butter AND salt. The texture of the frosting was thick and creamy, which was a good thing, but the sugar I had put in my cupcakes baked off. So, I am stuck with a taste-less cupcake and salty frosting. Maybe I should feed it to the birds outside.
