I don't care what part of Mexico she says the food is from, I love the show and the verasatility-those of us who live in the Midwest don't have access to every authentic ingredient so variations are always welcome, oh the horchata made with oatmeal? Try it before you go criticizing.

WATCH THE SHOW... You'll find that all the things you are whining about she tells you about. But if you know everything about mexican cooking already why are you looking up recipes?

I made this recipe but tossed everything in a large bowl and served family style
It was soooo creamy and yummy!!
Added a cracked chipotle pepper grinder on the table for those that wanted that extra quick and it was perfect !!
Thanks Marcela, its great to see true Mexican recipes on your show

I made this recipe for the first time today, with fresh sweet corn just picked this morning. I live in the rural midwest, and was able to find all the ingredients Marcela called for. I made the recipe exactly as presented, using the optional ingredients too. The recipe was AWESOME! It was so good, in fact, that I had one serving for lunch, and I made it again for dinner! Definitely a keeper! (Made it in a coffee cup, BTW

I just want to compliment Marcella's excellant show! Its wonderful to see a mexican lady succeed on the Food Network. I love your show! April lady lay off! Its mexican made easy, Marcella is teaching us how to simplify mexican dishes with great taste and variation. Oh, but I guess you didn't get that. Great job Marcella! Again, I love your show!
