Delicious!!!!! The flavors are very light, next time I'll back off the water a bit more to intensify the flavor. Uncooked the sauce was so aweful , I made sure I added most of the water. I too will add some chili's for an extra kick. I hope you win Aarti, I really want to learn how to cook Indian food. Indian recipes are really vague, and I don't know what to do. I love your food, I think you can deliver the goods!!!!

I was excited to make this dish. I am a very good cook and can follow a recipe, as well as do my own thing. I followed this recipe to the letter. I was not happy. It was good, but really lacked in flavor. I grow my own herbs...so I don't think they were tired. I just did not care if I ate it or not. I am a fan of Artie.....so it has nothing to do with her, just the lack of flavor. I have to admit, I was puzzled by the comments on the show and by the reviews. Maybe something is missing from the recipe?

This curry had a lot of flavor but was very light. We added a couple of serranos to it to give it a little extra kick and it was fantastic!

Most curries I've attempted are quite heavy and tomato-based, and this one was a nice change of pace. I added a few slices of a serrano chile to it, and I think the next time I'll add more for a little more heat. The curry is not overpowering, and it's perfect with a nice warmed piece of naan bread (if you can't find naan bread in your grocery, you can use any kind of flatbread, like pita and some basmati rice. Great dish, one I'll add to my permanent rotation!

This was definitely an adventure for someone who has rarely made Indian food before. The strong smells during preparation had me convinced this would be awful, but it is delicous. When pureeing the cilantro and mint it smelled less than appetizing and then cooking the spices in the oil releases a strong smell, but the final dish is a wonderful blend of flavors. I substituted red onions for shallots and bone in thighs since I couldn't find boneless. My husband loved it and was asking for more so I'll probably double it next time so we can have leftovers.

I am eleven and my favorite show is Next Food Network Star. And from the beginning Aarti was my favorite. This is the first recipe of Aarti's I have tried and I loved it. I made it tonight with my mom, and everyone in my family ate it and throughly enjoyed it, even my younger brother age 2, and my younger sister age 7. The only thing we changed about Aarti's amazing curry recipe was substituting chicken thighs- chicken breasts.
    Good Luck Aarti!!!

Made this last night and, even with subbing ingredients (e.g. white onion instead of red, chicken breasts instead of thighs since I didn't want to go shopping and it still turned out great. Tried it with both basmati rice and naan. Definitely goes better with naan, probably because I'm used to the cilantro chutney sauce used with bready Indian snacks like samosas. But as a main dish, it's still a great one. Going to try the lamb kabab recipe next. Aarti FTW.

I just made this for our large extended family, some of which had never tasted Indian food before. They absolutely loved it, without reservation, including the kids! I served it with naan, Aarti's raita, and steamed rice. It was a huge hit! We all are hoping Aarti will win, so we can look forward to more fantastic recipes. She is a pleasure to watch, so happy and bubbly! I predicted that she would win at the beginning of NFNS, and I hope I'm right! God bless you, Aarti!
