Made it again this weekend...it's one of the tastiest pasta salads I've ever made. And I told my hubby is out of luck on the leftovers since that's what I'm taking for lunch tomorrow!

You can't go wrong with this salad because pretty much everyone likes all of the ingredients, however I thought that this salad with very bland. I added balsamic vinegar and it was much better. As a money saver, I would recommend using tomato on the vine instead of heirloom tomatos.

This was great! I may not agree with the Biden's political views, but I LOVE this dish! (Even my husband raved about it, and he usually does not like to try new stuff.

My sister tried this for a weekend barbeque using her home grown tomatoes and basil, and we all went nuts for it. We've both been making it all summer for all sorts of gatherings. When using whole tomatoes, I recommend you seed them before chopping. We add chopped kalamata olives to the salad sometimes which gives a nice change of flavor. The recipe is great as-is, however. This salad is healthy (especially if you use multi-grain pasta, has lots of flavor, and appeals to a wide variety of different tastes and ages.

I LOVE this recipe, I make it often exactly as is for dinner and to bring to BBQs it is always a hit!
I have recently started WW and to make it slightly more healthy I changed a few things: olive oil to 1 TBSP olive oil replaced with 1/2 cup fat free chicken broth, cut the mozzarella to 8 oz of fresh petite mozzarella halved, and use whole grain pasta.
Tips:
Make sure the pasta is cool before u add the mozzarella-- melted mozzarella is no good.
I use grape tomatoes halved because they are easier.
Add in grilled chicken or shrimp for some delicious protein to make it a meal.

We had a BBQ this weekend and this was the easiest dish to prepare. I used two medium garlic cloves, a little extra basil, cheese and tomatoes, plus the recommended amount of lemon zest. Everyone loved it. My only recommendations are: 1 season the lemon/olive oil mixture AND your pasta water liberally and; 2 cook the pasta al dente and make sure it cools off a little, because it seems to absorb the vinaigrette and will get soggy. It was a summery, fresh-tasting salad - I definitely will make this again. Whomever claims this is bland is wrong!

I'm sorry to say, but I thought this was a little bland.

I liked it a lot. I added a little less of the lemon an at the end i realized that i should have used the recommend amount. Great dish.

Just made this over Memorial Weekend - Huge success! Substituted pasta with gluten free noodles. Also good vegetarian dish. Light, Fresh, flavors were just right. Great for picnics or parties
