Amazing taste! This is a keeper recipe. I think the addition of the fresh lemon juice "syrup" that is brushed on the cake slices and some lemon zest make this a wonderful summer dessert. Everyone who tasted this dessert wanted seconds!

    Dang!

Thanks, Sunny. I made mine with red velvet cake instead of the angel food cake, and all I can say is that the cream cheese filling took this over the top. Fabulous!!

I made this for a birthday party and it went over extremely well. This was my first trifle but it was very easy to make and hard to mess up. I could find no blueberries so I had to substitute frozen blackberries and it still turned out well. I loved the cream cheese mixture as it wasn't overly sweet. There was barely any left for me to try a bite, so I will definitely be making this again.

Wonderful. made it for our first cookout in our new home. I had over 20 people ask for the recipe. Strawberries were in season in Michigan at this time. So Yummy, it was the first dish to disappear.

Huge hit! I made this for an afternoon baby shower and it was perfect. Next time I will get a bigger angel food cake.

Fresh, Easy, Beautiful. Loved the cream cheese in the whipped cream. I added a sprig of fresh rosemary on top that looked like a little firework coming out. Was so easy and such a huge hit!

OMG! The perfect summer desert recipe, and it is easy and beautiful! The strawberries I bought were horrible, so I substituted some canned pineapple not knowing if it would ruin the dish or not. It did not! We loved it! And on day 2, the angel food cake was not mushy and the whipped cream mixture was not running. I do not know about day 3, because it is gone!!
