I made this on a whim after buying nectarines and plums that I thought my 3 year old would love. She didn't care for them and so I tried to find something to do with them before they all went bad. This recipe was great. I didn't find that the fruit turned sour at all (as suggested by previous reviewer, it was sweet and tender. The pistachios make the dish in my opinion. My husband thought pistachios were a weird ingredient but changed his mind after tasting it. I would recommend this as a summer dessert for company any day. One last thing, I did cut down on the butter recommended in the recipe (from a total of 9 Tbs. to 7 Tbs. and it turned out just fine.

I AM A BIG FAN OF ANY/ALL FRUIT CRUMBLES WITH ICE CREAM. I TRIED THIS RECIPE AND IT WAS FAIRLY GOOD BUT NOT GREAT. THE NECTERINES OR PLUMS TURNED SLIGHTLY SOUR. THE CORN MEAL COULD'VE BEEN ELIMINATED. I USED WALNUT INSTEAD OF PISTACHIO. THE WHOLE DISH WAS RELATIVELY EASY TO MAKE.
