This is a good recipe. I wanted to do this in a 4 quart crock pot with only chicken, so I cut most of the ingredient quantities in half, and in place of the other meats I put in two golden potatoes. Used a 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes (like the previous reviewer, the #10 can threw me a little, 1 cup chicken stock, but kept the amounts of BBQ sauce the same. Layered the pot with veggies on the bottom, chicken breasts sitting on top of those, and all the seasoning and butter on top. Let it sit for 8 hours on low heat. Shredded the chicken with two forks, stirred, and it turned out amazing. :

This was really good, but I think some of the quantities are not scaled correctly from the restaurant "bulk" recipe. A number 10 can (as I understand it is a huge food service can. Also, a quart of broth and 1/2 lb of butter seemed like way too much. I used 2 28 oz cans of canned tomatoes, 1/2 qt of broth, 1/4 lb butter and it turned out really good.

Awesome recipe! I did add some heat with about 6 diced large jalapenos and a full roasted garlic... and I used a chipolte BBQ. Hearty and stick to your ribs good!!!

This was really good and really easy. Only changes were 3/4 c bbq sauce and 1/4 c white vinegar for both bbq sauces. Gets better and better the longer it sits.

I made a half recipe, added potatoes. Only had pulled pork and smoked chicken. Used BBQ sauce on hand. An excellent combination of sweet, smoky, and heat. Best I have ever had as well. And fairly simple.

Home cook shopping at Publix in GA. - I used Curly's packaged sauce-less BBQ pork, chicken and beef, and added one diced potato for body. Also threw in a bay leaf and some thyme. Absolutely perfect. I used Bull's Eye Carolina BBQ sauce as the ones in the recipe were not available here - turned out great! Serve with some homemade cornbread - fantastic!

This is a great recipe! The best Brunswick Stew I have ever had. Also, I have a great suggestion for an alternative version for quickness and convenience. Cut all ingredient amounts in half and use 1.5 lbs of pork only. Makes a quick and tasty crock pot size portion. I used all the suggested measurements and it was perfectly seasoned as well. I highly recommend this recipe.

In case you were wondering which recipe to pick, it is *Brunswick* stew, after all, so this would be the recipe to pick, this being the recipe from a restaurant in *Brunswick*, Georgia. This brings back memories of childhood at the beach... Enjoy!

This is the most tasty of the recipes I have tried of this soup. Although, I used the bbq sauces on hand. I hope to visit Georgia soon and taste this lovely creation first hand.
