I recently made this recipe with outside skirt steak and it was amazing. I didn't have pom juice so I used cranberry, and the sauce was a perfect blend with the flavor of the shallots. I am actually using this recipe again tonight! My husband said that this recipe is much tastier than many chic resturaunts have on the menu. Please try this recipe, you will not be sorry!

OMG so good and easy. You can't go wrong! The store I went to didn't have preserves so I used black cherry fruit spread instead and it still came out good. I will try the preserves next time. Maybe add a little red wine too.

Oh my Goodness!!!! I was looking for a recipe for my skirt steak. (plus I found out flank steak is a tougher meat So I followed the recipe to a T, using my skirt steak was a great choice. I am in love with this recipe. The steak was flavorful and tender. The sauce for the steak was a hit, I would eat this sauce a million times and never purchase another steak sauce again. If your looking at the recipe wondering if it's worth your time and effort, it really is worth the time and effort in making this recipe. You will not be disappointed!

Just made this tonight for the first time and it was outstanding. I didn't have garlic-infused olive oil, but I made my own version my simply adding two cloves of minced garlic to the olive oil. The steak turned out great on the grill and the sauce was delicious. I loved the combination of the shallot flavor with the cherries. I did forget to purchase the pomegranate juice, but I substituted with a little burgundy wine...it turned out fine. I will definately make this again.

A remarkably easy and tasty dish! I've been using Hanger Steak for a year or two, but this prep and the advice to - not overcook - made it better than ever. The shallot/cherry sauce is delightful. My kids (17 and 13 loved it along with the sweet potato fries and roasted asparagus I served with this. We'll definitely be enjoying this recipe again, and again, and again. Thanks Claire!
