My mom and i watched this show yesterday morning (via DVR and at dinnertime I surprised her with it for dinner. The chicken Tostadas I've made before so it was nothing new... but the Tomatillo Avocado Salsa was new to us and it came out fantastic.. i did add more avocado than it called for, but it was excellent..

My husband saw me watching this on TV and said "Let's have that for dinner tonight". So I went online to get the recipe. I noticed that the instructions for making the "tostadas" was missing. I remember her saying that a tostada is a cooked tortilla. If I hadn't just watched the show, Not being of Mexican decent, I never would have known to cook the tortilla. I guess a few people also mentioned the issue about the tostada. I really appreciated her comment about baking them instead of frying. A lot healthier and cleaner. Can't wait to taste this tonight.

I received rave reviews for this dinner! I sprayed the tortillas with oil and baked them at 375 for about 5 minutes until lightly browned. I then sprinkled them with salt and allowed them to cool. The salsa was marvelous! Thank you for a great recipe.

To answer Terri's question about the tortillas, she used corn, and fried them in oil on one side then turned it over and fried the other side.. Those were a nice different chicken tostada, I had never put radishes or red onion slices on tostadas before, and the green sauce, excellent!!

I missed the part of the show when she was frying the tostadas. Did she use corn or flour and how did she do it?
