This is the yummiest oatmeal I've ever tasted! Who would have imagined that oatmeal could be this amazing? I left out the strawberries. I also don't understand the need for self-richous folks giving 1 star when they didn't even try it or because strawberries were listed in the recipe but she did not use them on the show.

Loved this recipe, oatmeal was very delicious.
This recipe puts oatmeal in a whole different category.

My favorite flavor of instant oatmeal is peaches and cream, and bananas and cream...why did I never think to add cream to old fashioned oatmeal?! Holy yummy! I saw her make this on the show and I had everything. So I wipped up a mini batch and it was scrumptious! I love how the raisins add the perfect chewiness to it. The butter and the cream make it really decadent. My hips are really happy. :D I will never make oatmeal any other way.

I usually use brown sugar, raisins and 2 % milk on my oatmeal. I used light cream and the pat of butter along with the raisins and brown sugar today. Very creamy!! And yes, I will use the butter and light cream again.

To be fair I have been using skim milk for years now. So I did not like the greasy feel of the cream and butter left in my mouth. I took a bite and quickly grabbed what I could of the butter and through it out. Don't get me wrong I love me some butter. But it did not work in this recipe for me. I agree with the other reviews the TV show did NOT show her putting strawberries in it. Guess they could have edited that part out. I'll go back to using my skim milk.

I love this recipe. Don't add the butter that she adds on TV, it's just too rich. I put everything in little bowls on the table instead of adding it all together, so that everyone can add as much fat and sugar as they want. My favorite is just with peaches and cream.

Giving it a one star based on the recipe she showed on Paula's Best Dishes. Leave it to Deen to make one of the healthiest foods you can eat into a total artery clogger. Just add a dollop of fat free greek yogurt and some fresh berries. No need for butter and cream.

Just saw this episode on TV. This recipe is NOT exactly what Paula did on TV. She put a generous amount of butter on top of the individual oatmeal. And she did not use strawberries. Had I not watched it on TV, I would have missed so much.

It is absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, it is no longer healthy, but what the heck? Now and then you can splurge. I must admit that I couldn't quite make myself use as much butter and cream as was called for and can only imagine it to be decadent with it all.

This was delicious!!! My husband loved it, too, and he wasn't super excited about having oatmeal. This was a hit with both of us, though. I agree with some of the others, I'll never make oatmeal another way again.
