Paula has changed an old classic in more ways than one! Oatmeal will never be the same again and no doubt it will be Papa Bear who returns to find his bowl is empty! I have 4 Baby Bears, aged 2-16, and a Big Ole'Papa Bear. Everyone ate it ~ everyone loved it ~ everyone wants,"More again tomorrow, mom!"

I don't think that I will be able to eat oatmeal any other way now... this is just amazing! I've never prepared oatmeal anywhere near this good.

I am not typically an Oatmeal person due to numerous school breakfast meals. OMG this was so delish, it was so good and had it for a few days, just warmed in the micro. This is a keeper and will make for my grnadchildren when they come for a sleepover.

Just saw Paula doing this one. It looks so good, as I look out at the snow! I usually add raisins (lived for years in Fresno, raisin country! to my oatmeal, and I've found that it works really well to add the raisins to the water first, before I even turn the heat on...gives the raisins a chance to really plump up. And I love using golden raisins, or a combination or black and golden raisins. Or even dried figs, prunes, dried apricots, dried mangoes, or just ANY dried fruit! But by all means, if possible, use original Oats. Using instant or quick-cooking is said to be about the same, but they (even Paula has said the same about instant or quick-cooking grits, but us ol' country boys know the difference!!!

I fell in love with this recipe after seeing it made on air. It makes for a quick and super duper easy meal. I added golden raisins, honey and sliced bananas. Perfect comfort food!

This recipe is THE BOMB! I saw it Friday and I couldn't get it out of my mind all weekend! Tried it this morning and OMG!!!!!!!! I couldn't stop eating it - I used instant oatmeal (didn't have regular oats and had to get children to school and it was still fabulous - even the kids raved about it. Thanks for a great recipe!

Yummy! Saw this episode last night and made the oatmeal this morning! Didn't have strawberries, but bet it would be DELISH with them added too! My husband LOVED it! Paula, you have done it again! Love your show, your way of connecting with the viewers. You are a classy gal, Ms. Deen!

I made this the last time it was on Food Network and loved it. We went to Ireland last fall and it is made pretty much the same way except they don't use water to make the oatmeal they use milk. Then added all the goodies. Was informed this is traditional Irish oatmeal or porridge. Loved it and use that method with this recipe now. Wonderful!
