I have loved watching you since "Next Food Network Star"! I love your show, love your ideas and tips and want you to ignore the negative people. I live in California, and your prices are consistant with ours, if I shop carefully and avoid the high priced grocery stores. And regarding small portions, it's just sensible to eat more low-priced fruits and veggies in the summer and less high-priced protien. We've been doing that for years because of our wonderful garden!

For this recipe, I didn't have cod in the freezer, but did have a frozen salmon which I had purchased on sale awhile ago. So I marinated it, grilled it, and made the sauce to serve with it. Yummy!

I had fish in the freezer that I purchased on sale, so your recipe waswelcomed..
If you see fish on sale now, you should buy it as it is soooo pricey! I really appreciated you showing how to add cooked potato to salmon patties. I've learned alot from you. thanks

Cod was $10.99/lb and Halibut was $15.99/lb so I used Haddock, only $10.00/lb. Total cost for this dish is twice what Melissa listed hers for. The ingredients she uses just are not as inexpensive as she says. I appreciate her 'stretching' proteins, and making less expensive dishes, but if you can't find the ingredients for what she says (anywhere! then they need to change the name of her show.
