    1/2 cup milk
1 tsp sugar or more according to your taste
    tea masala - ginger powder(1/8tsp, cardomon powder(1/8tsp

Mix everything together and bring to boil in a pot strain in a cup, and drink. Tea masala you can add more or less according to your taste.

I was raised by British parents, so I'm a tea-drinker from way back. This is my new favorite way to drink tea. I brew a pot every night.

Delicious. Very smooth and refreshing. I've tried numerous chai tea bags, chai tea in a box, etc and none taste as good as this. Definitely a keeper!

Adore this! I was spending a fortune on Starbucks' Chai Tea Lattes until I started making this. I quadruple the recipe to make an entire pitcherful. I add some sugar along with the honey because I like it really sweet. Then I let it cool and refrigerate it. It is sooo delicious.

To Neelarj - are you flaunting your own stolen recipe or reviewing Aarti's?

Well, speaking of recipes, I really liked the lemongrass chai recipe someone has posted. I tried that out. I did not like Aarti's chai recipe. It had too many things going on for the flavor and too much honey! I put brown cane sugar in my lemongrass tea and it was delicious.

I think it's great Aarti got me making my own chai tea. You never know what's in store bought ones. It tastes great, but I will play with it too. Fun!
If you want stronger flavor steep the ingredients longer without the tea.

This was not the typical Indian chai!
Had a weird conglomeration of flavors that left a bitter taste in the mouth.

Don't like 'store' chai because it's too strong. Didn't like Aarti's because it's too weak. Tried steeping longer and got yukky-tasting brewed-too-long tea taste. Tried using double the ingredients with the same amount of tea, and still not good. I'm giving up and will try chai tea bags. Can't give you a good rating on this one Aarti, just didn't like it.

I did not like this. Too many additions killed the flavor of the chai tea base.

This is a lot like Oregon Chai. The one we get from a vacuum sealed container. Too sugary for my taste.
The best chai I had was made by my Indian room-mate. It had cardamom, ginger and surprise - lemongrass!
