My wife didn't read the prior reviews before we made this. It does taste like french onion soup. I even added 3/4 sugar and tons more black pepper and reduced it further. Nothing could save it.

I expected to get more of a molasses flavor w/ this. It sort of tasted like french onion soup. Nothing spectacular. I wouln't make it again.
