For me, the results were just ok; it didn't suit my palate, I think, because it tasted very mild to me. I doubled the garlic, but it was still a bit bland. I could see how those who don't normally eat fish would like it. The peas complimented the fish, because with all the lemon it needed some sweetness. But, it the mint added an odd texture because it's a little furry (like a peach.. I think I'd make both again but I would maybe add an onion to the fish for sweetness or sweet basil and with the pea salad I may omit the mint, but it's probably a personal preference. Still a solid recipe.

We absolutely love this dish. This recipe also works wonderfully with scallops. It's light, fresh and so yummy. Thank you, Giada!

I chose the best halibut we have here which was Alaskan. It is very expensive but worth it. This was the best recipe for it. Simple and flavorful. Served with roasted potatoes. The peas were so good that I am going to make them as a salad for other things.

Absolutely delicious! The halibut was so moist and the lemon/garlic flavor permeated throughout (I doubled the garlic. I used fresh peas, and I added them at the tail end of the sauteeing of shallots/red peppers. The mint and thyme were wonderfully subtle (surprising, in light of the amount of mint. I also added feta at the end, which I'd highly recommend.

This is amazing and has such flavor. The peas, mint and red pepper combine so nicely with the halibut. I made this just for my husband and me but think it's definitely tasty enough to serve to guests.

If your not a great lover of fish, this could be the recipe for you due to the very mild flavour of halibut. As for me, I actually enjoy eating fish and so I found this to be quite bland even though I left the fish marinating for about 90 minutes. As for the peas, I wasn't overly crazy about the mint despite the fact that I always hear peas and mint are a "classic combination".

Halibut here is over $20 a pound so I wanted something that would not overpower the taste of the excellent piece I bought. This recipe was perfect! The delicate mint and pea flavor complimented the fresh fish flavor with a marinade that enhanced without smothering. I served it with a light version of fettucine alfredo. Very nice, Giada!

The fish was perfect. I'm always looking for ways to get my husband, who is not fond of fish, to eat it. He loved this preparation and said he could eat it every day!! This is a great, simple, after work meal that cooks up quickly and is light but satisfying. I paired it with some lemon scented rice and an heirloom tomato salad.
