These are excellent cookies and so easy to make. I made a couple batches before Christmas and they didn't last - my family ate them up so fast.

OMG! These are so good. And they're easy to make too. My husband likes them too. I can tell, because he keeps coming back to steal more, before I've even cut them into pieces!
They're going on my list of cookie favorites!

I've been making this recipe for several years ever since it was listed in the "12 Days of Cookies" list. It's one of the holiday favorites in our household and always a hit whever I take it. It's also so easy to make! My daughter likes taking a batch to work because it "makes her popular" with coworkers.

So good and so easy! Everytime I make this for a party, everyone wants a copy of the recipe. The recipe is foolproof. The only hard part is waiting for it to cool enough to eat without scalding the heck out of your mouth! I made some tonight, just to have around the house and even forgot to throw it in the oven before I spread the chocolate on. I put it in with the chocolate already melted and spread, pulled it out after 15 min and stuck it the frige to cool. It's still awesome! Oh and I always use semi sweet chocolate chips instead of the dark chocolate.

My kids loved this easy recipe. Only gave it 4 stars because of cooking time. took suggestion of spraying foil with Pam, then cooked at 325 convection setting for 10 minutes. Came out perfect. Sprinkled on dark chocolate chips and returned to oven for 1 minute. Then spread out melted chips. Much easier than melting chocolate first. I used cinnamon grahams because that's all I had, but it was fine. Sprinkled crushed pretzels on top because my husband is allergic to nuts. Next time I'll make it with the nuts for me! I also think Club crackers would be great to balance out the sweetness of the toffee. Once cooked, you can't tell what type of crackers are used for the crust. Super simple any-occasion treat.

Delicious! I only gave it 4 stars though because I had to make some revisions to the recipe. The first batch I made according to the recipe burned so I made another batch wtih these adjustments: I melted the better first then added the other ingredients and brought to a boil for only 2 minutes - any more and it would burn. I also only put them in the oven for 7-9 minutes, until the edges started turning golden brown. Any longer then that and they would have burnt to a crisp. I took them into work and they gobbled them up and requested the recipe. Definitely will make again.
