If you have not grasped it by now.....the peppadew peppers are the secret ingredient and don't even think that roasted red peppers will do the trick! I can not describe the layers of flavor in this recipe--have been eating it for days and don't think I will ever grow weary. My husband, who has some kind of strange hatred of chickpeas, has aslo indulged every day and loves it. This is the greatest accompaniment for any summertime dish that you could ever dream of--don't miss out!

This recipe gives the option for Roasted Red Bell Peppers instead of the Peppadew Peppers. I used the Roasted Red, as that is all I had on hand. I made no substitutions, and found it very bland. I'm wondering if the Peppadew Peppers is the key to the flavor combination. I might try again with the Peppadew Peppers. If it is the key, then I would remove the Roasted Red Bell Peppers as an option! At least in my book.

Until then, I will continue to make Guys Black Bean Salad! It is amazing and so easy! I've introduce it to my Mom, who now make is once a week! And my black bean hating friend, who is now a convert! She begs me to make it!

This recipe was a hit. We had it as a side but could be a main dish in our opinion. Definitely will be making this often. Delicious!!

this was a great bean recipe me and my husband loved it..after i changed it a bit cause i thought was too bland at first for my taste..so i added a whole red onion 3 scallions chopped.. lot more balsamic vinegar and also touch of white vinegar and little more honey..than it was just great..

Is one of my very favorites. I make this relish once a month and love to keep it handy in the fridge.
