My family loved these cookies! I tried this recipe for the first time Christmas eve and the cookies turned out amazing. I actually substituted walnuts for the rice cereal to give my cookies a bit more texture and they still turned out great.

Made these for the 1st time today. NO crumbles. I took 1 TBS the chilled dough and rolled it. Then I placed it on the parchment paper and baked. When they were done I just slid the parchement paper with the cookies onto the wire rack. When cool I dipped in the chocolate and peppermint. They are delicious! and were so easy for this 70 yr old great grandma to make with the help of the 3 yr old great grandson... A new family favorite for sure

These were a huge hit. An explosion of flavors and chewiness. We rolled he dough into 1" balls and baked them on silpats. They came out beautifully shaped and were so pretty when dipped in the white chocolate and crushed peppermint. I have already promised to bring them again next year.

I followed the recipe exactly and the cookies came out just perfect. I have never baked with puffed rice cereal. I think it gave the cookies, along with the cream of tartar, a nice light texture. These cookies can be made year-round by substituting the peppermint candies with any type of sprinkle, additional toffee bits, colored sugar, etc. These cookies will definitely be made again. They were a hit with family and friends!

I replaced the cream of tartar with baking powder. I used 1 cup of white chocolate chips in lieu of the toffee and to make festive added 1 cup of dried cranberries. I also rolled batch into jelly role pan and made into bars. I've had over a dozen requests for recipe. Huge hit!! Definite keeper!

Wonderful!!! Followed recipe exactly other than making the cookies larger and baking longer to adjust.

I found the dough to be very crumbly and didn't spread. The finished cookie was also very crumbly. The taste was similar to a shortbread. So I added a small amount of cream to the remainder of the dough and that improved the texture greatly.

Cookies were crumbly and it was almost impossible to dip the cookies into melted chocolate without them falling apart. Add a splash of milk to the chocolate so you are able to drizzle it upon the cookies and sprinkle the crushed peppermint candies on top. Also they didn't rise at all, even with all ingredients added correctly.

Dough was crumbly, and cookies also came out in crumbles and dry, rather than chewy. :(

Great cookies! Made these last year as a holiday gift for all the doctors I work with and they were a huge hit. Have had requests all year to make these cookies again for Christmas. I used both white and milk chocolate to dip the cookies and both versions were delicious.
