I was surprised that it was a chilled dish. Good for parties, because you can make it ahead of time. I LOVE sesame oil and seeds, but the sesame was a little strong. I cut back to 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds. Overall, the family loved it.

I could eat this over and over. A great way to eat asparagus. The sesame oil is strong, but that's what makes it so good. If you don't like a strong nutty taste, you may want to cut back on the oil.

This is a terrific recipe. It's great for big dinners because the dish can be put together earlier in the day; no last minute rush. I followed Alex's directions carefully in blanching, cooling and drying the asparagus and it paid off, the asparagus spears remained green and crisp. A very tasty and attractive vegetable dish!
