Very tasty pie but the crust was too hard. However, that could be the result of my adding finely minced pecans to the crust. I will definitely try again and bake 5 to 10 minutes less. Keep doing what you are doing, Aaron.

I made a couple changes to make this my own- I used a traditional pie crust and baked for 20 minutes, pulled the pie out of the oven and decorated the top with whole pecans, then baked for 10 more minutes. It came out perfect! Delicious! Thanks Aaron!

It is a great recipe but I tweaked it a bit. Home made crust, added 1 extra cup of pecans and put a thin melted layer of dark chocolate on bottom of uncooked pie crust and let it harden in refridgerator before adding other ingredients to crust and baking it off.

Very tasty, but i used my pie crust and cut circles for mini tartlets for my new pan. I almost ate them all. Just fabulous! My first pecan maple tartlets were fantastic. Thanks again.

This was a very easy recipe to follow, though the pie taste like it takes a lot of work. If you want to surprise people with what they believe are your non-existing baking skills make this for them and they’ll be enjoyably surprised.
I wanted a different crust, so I used chocolate graham crackers; I also toasted my pecans for a very short period. I decide when I make it again to add some sweeten condensed milk, similar to a cookie recipe I make, and another suggestion is adding chocolate chips.

This recipe was so easy, I loved it. It was also very tasty, I agree with others though 40mins may be a little to long try 30 -35 mins. Other than that I will continue with this recipe for the next holiday season

I baked for 40 minutes and the top got burnt. Picked it all off, but it still tastes good and it isn't real sweet like some pecan pies. I would recommend baking 30-35 minutes, other then that, I will definately make again.
